The Forum brought together a large number of surgeons, doctors, students, medical technicians, military surgeons and all those involved in the evacuation, transport, resuscitation and final rescue of seriously injured persons. The countries of the Balkans and Southeast Europe are potentially exposed to the same and simultaneous impacts of natural disasters and adverse social events. The aim is to unite the countries of Southeast Europe in a single system for protection and response in mass accidents. The Forum was marked by a lively multinational discussion on the topic of trauma, surgical approaches in trauma, organization of medical centers, education in this field, mass accidents and the capacities of medical systems and other participants for triage, transport, resuscitation and final surgical care. Experts in the field of civil surgery and military surgeons participated: Mehmet Eryilmaz – Turkey, Arda Isik – Turkey, Tayfun Yucel – Turkey, Boris Kessel – Israel, Krstina Doklestić Vasiliev – Serbia, April Mendoza – USA, Maeyane Stevens (Steve) Moeng – South Africa, Juan Carlos Puyana – USA, Marius Ciurea – Romania, Agron Dogjani – Albania, Chrysanthos Georgiou – Cyprus, Demetrios Pyrros – Greece, Barak Levit – Israel and others.
